Chelsea star Nemanja Matic has trolled Liverpool’s defending ahead of the two clubs’ showdown on Saturday, Daily Star reports.
Last season the Blues defeated Brendan Rodgers’ men 2-0 at Anfield, ultimately ending the Reds’ chances of claiming their first league title in 24 years.
And after that fixture Rodgers complained that after going into the lead, Jose Mourinho “parked two buses” in order to achieve the victory.
Liverpool have been suffering defensively, which has seen them concede 13 goals in their 10 Premier League games, and Chelsea midfielder Matic has taken a cheeky stab before the weekend clash.
“Many teams this season tried to park the bus in front of the goal against us – but we still won,” Matic said.
“It’s not easy. If you defend you have to know how to defend. We will see how we are going to play at Liverpool.
“But we are ready. We are top, and we want to stay there.”
He added: “It was 2-0 last year at Anfield, and in that game we showed we have quality.
“Nobody’s happy when they lose a game, and they weren’t happy. Now it is a different story. We play a different way. We will play a big game.”
Both teams come out of their midweek Champions League fixture without a win, Liverpool losing 1-0 to Real Madrid while Chelsea only managed a 1-1 draw against Maribor.
