Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has expressed his desire to extend his loan spell with Real Betis, as reported by Canal Sur.
The Belgian youngster has slotted into the Spanish side well and has been extremely impressive in his performances so far, attracting the interest of Marc Wilmots, who is thought to be considering Musonda as a surprise entry for his Euro 2016 squad.
Betis are likely to want to extend Musonda’s stay at the club, with the Chelsea man having been unbeaten in all six games that he has started for the club. Musonda is another player to grow frustrated with Chelsea’s resistance to giving their young players a chance and, at 19, the flying midfielder feels his development will be improved by staying in Spain for the 2016/17 campaign.
Musonda also spoke of how his favourite clubs are all in Spain and said that he felt it would be a backwards step if he returned to play in Chelsea’s reserves.
