Chelsea‘s Josh McEachran has admitted his loan spell in the Championship with Middlesbrough has helped him develop his game as a midfielder.
The playmaker was thought to be the next big thing at his parent club Chelsea and made his Champions League debut at the tender age of 17 years old.
However, having found himself surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, McEachran has been enjoying his loan spell at the Riverside and feels he has improved as a player with Boro.
He said: “I was playing at Chelsea when I was 17 and was progressing but then I stalled a little bit.
“But I’ve gone to Middlesbrough and been playing every game, doing well and now I need to kick on.
“Playing week in, week out for Boro has really helped me. The Championship is a tough division and it has helped me grow up and become a better player.”
