Chelsea are preparing a loan move which will see defender Kurt Zouma make a switch to Monaco after only recently returning from Saint Etienne, Daily Star reports.
Even though the club are currently in search of a new defender who can replace David Luiz after the Brazilian star left for Paris Saint-Germain, Jose Mourinho doesn’t think the 19-year-old is ready for the role.
He believes that a loan will greatly benefit his experience and could return for a spot in the first team in the future, much like the recent success of Thibaut Courtois after his spell with Atletico Madrid.
His return to the side means there will be friendly competition for the number one spot between the sticks as the Belgium keeper may even be able to replace Petr Cech.
John Terry’s pairing with Gary Cahill is still the primary choice when Mourinho selects his team, but he is still keen in bringing in another top player who will one day be given the huge task of replacing the Blues current captain.
