Chelsea have been boosted by the news that star striker Diego Costa has not broken his leg during their 3-3 draw against Everton, Daily Mail reports.
Costa was forced off the pitch in the thrilling encounter where he scored a goal and set up another, but was sent straight to the hospital to undergo scans following a strong challenge.
Thankfully, the Spain international has not fractured his leg after receiving a strong hit to his right shin, but there is bruising in his tibia.
The former Atletico Madrid star was back at the Cobham training ground on Sunday, and will be evaluated even further on Monday in an attempt to get him back fully fit for their crunch match with Arsenal this coming weekend.
The Blues are currently short of striking options with only Loic Remy available due to Radamel Falcao’s injury, but manager Guus Hiddink has revealed he could try to bring in a new attacker this month.
