Chelsea have reportedly open negotiations with Roma over the signing of Radja Nainggolan, who is set to be part of Antonio Conte’s revolution at Stamford Bridge next season, according to The Guardian.
The Italian trainer will shake up the West London club’s playing squad this summer and is expected to sign a number of stars from Serie A given his experience of the division with Juventus.
Nainggolan has continued to impress in the Rome-based outfit’s starting XI this season, with the all-action Belgian dominating the boiler room for the Giallorossi over the last 12 months.
The former Cagliari enforcer has been a revelation in the absence of the injured Kevin Strootman and is now regarded as one of Europe’s premier central midfielders.
The report suggests that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini was in London on Friday to meet with Chelsea officials and that a deal will be concluded in the near future.
