Chelsea stopper claims Hazard can be world’s greatest

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech believes midfield maestro Eden Hazard can become the best player in the world if he continues his current improvement, as reported by talkSPORT.

Hazard’s wonderful hat trick against Newcastle yesterday moved Chelsea to the top of the table with title rivals Arsenal and Man City both slipping up.

The Belgian winger now has 13 goals overall this season and has become the main man in the Blues team that boss Jose Mourinho claimed he would be.

Cech does not see any reason why Hazard can’t go on and win the Ballon d’Or in the future and become the best player in the world.

“I’ve been saying already that if he keeps working and keeps his progression going, he’s got so much quality and if he uses all his quality, one day I believe he can win the Ballon d’Or,” Cech said.

“It’ll be down to him and the players around him to help him achieve that.

“He’s very talented, he’s been absolutely brilliant since he came to the club, and he’s improving, so we hope we can keep him improving.”
