Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has told German paper Bild that he will be staying at BVB for another season at least.
The Polish international has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks as their bid for Wayne Rooney seems to be dead.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Lewandowski who has been in fine form over the past few seasons and is a big part of the success that Dortmund have found in recent years.
The 25 year old was keen on a move to Bayern Munich earlier in the summer but Dortmund ruled out that move as it would basically hand the Bundesliga title to their rivals.
Lewandowski only has one year remaining on his current contract and so Dortmund run the risk of losing him for free next summer if they do not sell either now or in January or the player doesn’t sign a new deal.
“It is the case that I will stay for another year at Dortmund. We have settled all our disagreements and talked things over.
“There are no more problems. “BVB [Dortmund] are ready to mount an attack for every title. We are chasing Bayern.”
