Chelsea to consider midfielder swap deal for £70m Man City target

Chelsea are ready to offer Nemanja Matic to Juventus in their efforts to lure Manchester City target Paul Pogba to the club, HITC reports.

The 22-year-old has also been linked with a host of European giants in recent months, with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona also keen on the player.

With Italy boss Antonio Conte tipped to replace interim boss Guus Hiddink in the summer, the current Premier League champions are also looking to follow his appointment with the addition of Pogba.

They are hoping the addition of Matic in to deal could be enough for the Serie A giants to open negotiations over a possible move to sign the France international.

Conte has already worked with the midfielder during his time in charge of Juve following his exit from United on a free transfer back in 2012.

He has already featured 37 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far scoring six goals while providing another nine assists, and is believed to be worth around the £70million region.
