Chelsea are looking to break their transfer record in order to bring Juventus’ Paul Pogba back to the Premier League, that’s according to the Daily Mail.
The Old Lady have set an asking price of £60million for their 21-year-old midfielder but that hasn’t deterred Jose Mourinho as he looks to avoid another trophyless season with Chelsea.
Pogba is currently away in Brazil with France on World Cup duty and has impressed with his combination of power and technical ability in Les Bleus’ run to the Last 16.
An added bonus of signing of Pogba is, much like Chelsea’s new signing Cesc Fabregas, the Frenchman falls under Premier League academy status after spending his earlier years with Manchester United.
The Red Devils are also keen on bringing back the player who spent three-years with them but aren’t believed to be keen on matching Juventus’ asking price.
