Chelsea veteran reveals possibility of club exit after losing first team role

Chelsea’s Petr Cech is considering a move elsewhere if he continues to be placed on the bench with Jose Mourinho opting to use Thibaut Courtois as his number one choice, Skysports reports.

Although the 32-year-old almost reached 500 appearances for his side and keeping a total of 150 clean sheets, it looks more and more likely that he will not win back his role.

With the upcoming European competition, Cech believes if he doesn’t move in order to gain more playing time, he may not be ready to represent his country.

He told Czech Radio: “I think they know me well enough at Chelsea to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine.

”With the European Championships in 2016 and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play.

“I have not spoken to anybody at the club but if the situation will not start to improve for me then I will want to solve it.”
