Having watched through the first weekend of Premier League fixtures, Chelsea and West Ham finally have their opportunity to kick-off their season at Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte and Slaven Bilic have little more to do ahead of the new campaign, it is down to the players at this point, what better way to get started than a heated London derby?
Chelsea’s tactical approach will be intriguing. Formations have been experimented with throughout pre-season and the new signings, Michy Batshuayi and N’golo Kante, are likely to feature in the first Monday Night Football of the campaign.
Bilic is still looking to add to his squad this summer, having failed to add to his striking artillery in the campaign so far. After an emphatic first season with the Irons, expectations are high for Bilic. The club will be aiming for a top six finish once again and this clash at Stamford Bridge will be a brilliant acid test.
Without any more faffing, let’s take a look at the starting line-ups…
Team to face West Ham: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, JT (c), Azpi; Kante; Willian, Matic, Oscar, Hazard; Costa. https://t.co/1ks2aJA2qP
