Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is facing a ban from FIFA in regards to his move to Roma after breaching the terms of a contract made with Fiorentina, according to reports from the Express.
The 23-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan at Fiorentina and was given first option on whether to extend his stay or sign him on a permanent basis.
However, after attracting interest from a host of Serie A clubs, the Egypt international eventually snubbed the agreement he had in place in order to join Roma on a season-long loan.
Viola are now appealing the actions made by Salah in the build up to his switch to their league rivals as he could now face a ban with the club also in line to receive compensation.
The winger has so far struggled to hold down a regular role under manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, with Roma given the option to sign him permanently if FIFA rule out any problems with his move.
