Chelsea’s move for Brazilian all but complete

Chelsea are thought to be very close to concluding a deal for Porto striker Hulk, with sources from The Telegraph indicating that the transfer is ’90 per cent complete’.

The west London club are on the offensive this summer in the transfer market, and have already confirmed the signing of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Marko Marin.

With Ivorian talisman Didier Drogba not being offered a new contract and leaving Stamford Bridge this off-season, the Blues are in the market for a new attacker to fill the hitman’s boots.

Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Hulk, who has impressed for the Portuguese champions domestically and on the continent, as well as featuring for the Brazil national side.

The forward has stated his willingness to leave the Estadio do Dragao this summer, and a £40 million deal is thought to have been agreed between the sides.

Hulk scored 21 goals in 38 appearances for the Portuguese side in 2011-12.
