City maestro reaches Premier League landmark

Sergio Aguero’s first-half performance set Manchester City on their way to an emphatic victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane to go top of the Premier League.

The Argentinian netted his 50th Premier League goal for City in the 15th minute when he latched on to a David Silva through ball before neatly chipping over Hugo Lloris.

Aguero could have had a hat-trick by half-time after smashing the post and forcing a world-class save from Lloris.

But unfortunately for City fans Aguero limped off at the break with what looked like a thigh injury, which could potentially hand Stefan Jovetic a run in the side.
