Parma claim they have reached agreement with Manchester City to sign striker Valeri Bojinov.
The Bulgaria international spent last season on loan at the Italian club and has now agreed a permanent move to Serie A.
Bojinov made just three Premier League starts after joining City in a £5.75million deal from Fiorentina in summer 2007.
The 24-year-old suffered a serious knee ligament injury in only his third appearance for the Eastlands club at the beginning of the 2007/08 campaign before rupturing his Achilles tendon the following season.
In Italy he enjoyed better luck after scoring eight goals in 30 appearances for Parma last season.
"I am very happy to announce the successful outcome of a deal that we have been pursuing since last January," Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi told Sky Italia.
"We reached an agreement the City. I am grateful to Valeri, who really wanted to stay at Parma.
"The details of the contract will be established between (general director Pietro) Leonardi and the staff of the player."
