Manchester City have confirmed that Bulgaria international Valeri Bojinov has joined Parma for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The Serie A side claimed earlier in the week that they had agreed a deal for the former Fiorentina star who endured an injury-plagued spell at Eastlands.
Bojinov spent last season on loan with Parma, scoring eight goals in 30 appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old joined City three years ago from Fiorentina in a £5.75million deal, but suffered a knee ligament injury on his full debut against Manchester United in August 2007 that forced him to miss the rest of the campaign.
Bojinov then snapped his Achilles warming up for the first match of the 2008-09 season at Aston Villa and went on to score just one goal in three starts for the club.
A brief statement on the club's official website read: "Everyone at Manchester City wishes Valeri better luck at his new club."
