CONCACAF Champions League: Real Salt Lake make final

Real Salt Lake has advanced to the final of the CONCACAF final after dispatching Saprissa over two legs in the semi-final.Despite losing the return leg 2-1 on Tuesday, the Major League Soccer outfit won the tie thanks to their 2-0 victory in the first leg on March 15.

Midfielder Luis Diego Cordero put the home side ahead with a 28-yard effort shortly after the interval, with Colombian defender Jamison Olave equalising for Salt Lake in the 60th minute.

The Costa Ricans restored their lead late on in the tie through of penalty converted by Alonso Solis, but were unable to force the game to extra time.

Real will be first side from the United States to reach the final of the tournament since 2000, when LA Galaxy claimed the title after beating Honduran club Olimpia.
