New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to keep troubled striker Diego Costa at the club next season and will talk to the Spain international to convince him to stay at Stamford Bridge, according to The Telegraph.
The former Atletico Madrid striker has had contrasting fortunes during his time in the Premier League, with his goals firing the West London team to the title last season.
However, the Brazilian-born centre forward has gone off the boil slightly this season and the Chelsea fans blamed him as one of the under performing players that got Jose Mourinho sacked.
With a host of disciplinary issues and his conduct on the pitch also being in focus, Costa has been linked with an exit from the club and a return to Spain.
Former club Atletico have been touted as major suitors of the hotshot attacker, while a big-money move to China has even been proposed.
However, the latest report suggests that Conte wants Costa to lead the line for his team next season and will look to keep him in England.
