New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering axing Thibaut Courtois and will give Asmir Begovic a chance to impress him and becoming the club’s number one, according to The Daily Mail.
The Blues are expected to shake up their playing personnel this summer once the Italian boss arrives after the Euro 2016 tournament in France.
Courtois has been the Stamford Bridge outfit’s first-choice custodian since the start of last season and ousted club legend Petr Cech from the London outfit.
However, the giant Belgian recently admitted that his future at Chelsea was up in the air after the team’s hardships this season.
Begovic is reportedly set to get the nod to start the rest of the team’s games this season and will be given a chance to stake a claim to be number one.
The Bosnia international joined from Stoke City last summer but has been starved of action whilst Courtois has been available.
