New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has told the club’s owner Roman Abramovich that he needs five new players at Stamford Bridge if the West Londoners are to win the Premier League in 2016-17, according to The Mirror.
The former Juventus and Italy boss has taken over from interim boss Guus Hiddink after a disastrous season for the Blues last term.
Chelsea have already splurged in excess of £60 million on striker Michy Batshuayi and midfielder N’Golo Kante – but the Italian trainer wants more new faces at the London club.
Conte is said to have had a meeting with Abramovich after assessing the squad and wants to reinforce across the park.
The distinguished coach is said to want new players throughout the spine of his potential team, with a host of Serie A stars on his wishlist.
The report suggests the likes of Alvaro Morata, Radja Nainggolan and Kalidou Koulibaly are all in Conte’s sights.
