Croatian international Stipe Pletikosa, is hopeful of finally sealing a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
The Spartak Moscow keeper was expected to arrive at White Hart Lane back in August; however a knee injury prevented him making the move to North London.
Tottenham invited him back this week to assess the state of his injury and the Croat revealed that he held talks about reigniting a possible transfer switch in June.
“I’m going back to Croatia much happier than I arrived, I was glad to get to know Tottenham, to visit their training ground, talk to Redknapp and his team, as well as the stars of Spurs.
“I came here with my agent at the request of Tottenham. I warned them that I can’t play at full force until mid-February.
“They wanted to check the condition of my knee after the operation and are seriously thinking about signing me in June.
“I was encouraged by their confidence and it will be extra motivation to work hard so that, finally, in the summer I can play in the Premier League.” (Daily Mail)
Stipe Pletikosa has 79 caps for Croatia.
