Spurs were close to agreeing a deal with Zagreb in the summer for 17 year old Halilovic but the deal was still a way from being completed when the window slammed shut.
The Croatian playmaker has been likened to idol Luka Modric in recent years and it appears to be a matter of time until a big move comes his way.
Arsenal and Juventus have now joined Tottenham in pursuit of Halilovic and the young Croatian international may have a big decision to make during January with his preferred destination seemingly the Premier League with North London being the likely destination.
“I can confirm that last summer I was close to moving abroad, a transfer from Dinamo was not far away,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I can also tell you that this club still wants me.
“I will just say that I love English and Spanish football the most.”
