League leaders Leicester City will have targeted this game against Crystal Palace as an opportunity to take them three points closer to the most dramatic of league titles.
Visiting Selhurst Park has previously been a daunting prospect, but the Eagles are yet to win a Premier League game in 2016 and Leicester are wiping the floor with any side that dares get in their way.
Pardew’s Palace have faced the same problems as his Newcastle team. Goals are harder to come by than a Tottenham scarf in the Shed and the reliability on individual brilliance from Bolasie or Zaha has become too much. Leicester, meanwhile, have continued their relentless charge towards glory with late winners, dramatic overheads and heroic blocking as Claudio Ranieri continues on his course to some sort of minor deity in the Midlands.
Leicester could go eight points clear at the top of the table with victory at Palace, whilst Pardew will be wary of his side’s constant plummet towards the bottom three.
