Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish cut a relaxed figure when quizzed on the futures of he and goalkeeper Pepe Reina at the club.Dalglish took over from Roy Hodgson at Anfield in January, and has guided the Reds to sixth on the English Premier League table.
The contract of the club legend – in his second spell as manager of the club – will expire at the end of the season, but Dalglish is unconcerned about speculation concerning his future.
“There is the outstanding issue with myself, but that is the least important one,” Dalglish said ahead of his side’s league encounter with Arsenal on Sunday.
“Everything will be sorted out. I am perfectly relaxed about my position.”
“It is not my decision about my future, but I am just happy to be here.”
The Scotsman was similarly relaxed about Reina’s future at the club, despite the Spain goalkeeper a rumoured target for the Gunners prior to the season.
“Whatever he feels about us going in the right direction or not is up to him, but he does not look too unhappy to me,” Dalglish said.
“I have always believed he is one of the best in the Premier League, if not the best, and maybe even in (world) football.”
