Rangers have updated their fans with the latest goings on behind the scenes at the club, revealing that Dave King met Pedro Caixinha for the very first time on Wednesday evening.

Meeting for what appears to be a lovely meal in a famous Glaswegian Indian restaurant, the two men finally got to meet face to face, nearly two weeks after the Portuguese was officially announced as the new boss at Ibrox.

Flying in from South Africa, Rangers chief King has been meeting with clients and other members of the Rangers board on his visit, according to the official Rangers website, who also revealed he'll be giving an interview for supporters on the club's in-house TV channel later this week.

There's lots of work to be done at the club so supporters will be happy to see progress being made. The international break has been the perfect opportunity for Caixinha to bed himself into the club, this week being the first full week he's had available to train with his players.

Fans are eager to see the next steps at the club and have been taking to Twitter over the last day or so to share their thoughts on the movements of Dave King and their hopes under Pedro Caixinha...

There are clearly some complex issues at play surrounding the future of the club but if Pedro Caixinha can keep delivering on the pitch like he did in his first match against Hamilton then the feeling optimism around the club right now will only go on longer.
