Poor old David Moyes. He just can’t catch a break at the moment.
Just when he thought he may have turned a corner by beating Liverpool in the Capital One Cup in midweek, along came West Brom on Saturday to make it three league defeats out of six.
The statistics being thrown about now make grim reading for Moyes.
It is United’s worst start to a season for 24 years.
They have lost consecutive Premier League games.
They have been beaten by arguably their two biggest rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City this season.
And they are still without a Premier League goal from open play since the opening day of the season.
With all these thoughts going through Moyes’s head, the former Everton manager decided to cheer himself up and upgrade to the new iPhone 5.
It worked to some effect, as at least Moyes was able to see his team’s league position on his new phone – something the iPhone 4 wouldn’t allow as the screen was too small, and you had a to scroll a fair way down… to 12th. But no such problems on the iPhone 5, as United make the screen…just.
Finally something to cheer for David Moyes!
