Brazilian International Willian has been creating a reputation for himself in recent seasons with some fantastic displays for his club Shakhtar Donetsk.

Rumours are rife that he is a summer transfer target for Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona. These rumours have prompted Arsenal midfield man and Brazilian compatriot Denilson to speak up and state his desire for Willian to consider a move to Arsenal. “I've heard Chelsea are interested in him but I think his character could really improve our team” (Daily Mirror).

The reports in the Daily Mirror suggest Denilson has been in contact with Willian, “I've spoken to him and told him that he could be a success with us. I think he would definitely make our team stronger.”

Willian mainly operates from the left wing for Ukrainian giants Shakhtar, but he can cause just as much damage from either flank. The diminutive 22 year old is only 5 foot 8 inches, but Denilson is confident he would be a perfect addition to the Gunners, "I believe his style would fit much better at Arsenal because of the way we play football. He has great vision and ability. I think he's one of the best creative players I have played with.”

Denilson’s wish to see his fellow countryman join him at the Emirates may fall on deaf ears though, as ultimately Arsene Wenger makes the transfer decisions. That, coupled with the hefty price tag Willian will carry and competition from financial powerhouses such as Chelsea could mean a move to Arsenal is unlikely.
