Derby County manager Gary Rowett is expected to have two players back fit for Friday night’s Championship match against Queens Park Rangers.

The Derby Telegraph reports that striker Darrent Bent and midfielder Bradley Johnson are likely to be available for selection ahead of the home match at Pride Park.

Bent played no part in the Rams’ last match when they drew 2-2 with East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest prior to the international break due to flu.

The local newspaper claims that the former Aston Villa man has since recovered, while Johnson could also be involved after overcoming a knock that he suffered in training last week.

The match against QPR will only be Rowett’s second in charge since taking over from Steve McClaren earlier this month.

The Rams currently sit 10th in the Championship table, nine points adrift of the playoff places with eight games left to play.

It has not been the best run for Derby as they have only sealed victory once in their last 10 games.

As for QPR, they are on a four-game unbeaten streak and can go level on 53 points with Derby if they win on Friday.
