Disgraced former West Brom striker keen to find new club

Former West Brom and Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has revealed that he has had numerous offers to join clubs for next season, as reported by Sky Sports.

The Frenchman was sacked by Albion last month in a row over a Quenelle celebration that caused the FA to get involved and ban the striker, with West Brom equally action swiftly.

Anelka enjoyed successful years with Bolton, Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League but doubts he will ever play in England again.

Offers from not just Europe but also America and Asia have cropped up but Anelka just wants to fall back in love with the beautiful game.

“I am not specifically looking for a club but I am receiving offers and the least I can do is check them,” he told French newspaper Metro.

“I haven’t decided anything yet. My contract with WBA officially ended on 29 March and bar a miracle, there won’t be any new challenge before the next season starts, be it in Europe or in a exotic country.

“I want to play football like when I was young, connect myself again with the love for the game of my debut.”
