England striker Danny Welbeck says he cannot wait to play in the ‘unbelieveable’ atmosphere of Celtic Park when the Three Lions take on Scotland on Tuesday, reports the Daily Mail.
England recorded their fifth consecutive win by beating Slovenia 3-1 win at Wembley on Saturday, with Welbeck adding another two goals to his ever improving tally.
And the Arsenal forward is relishing the chance to continue his fine form when England travel north of the border for the first time since 1999 on Tuesday.
‘Obviously it is only a friendly but we want to win every single game,’ Welbeck said.
‘We can’t go in thinking we are going to do anything else than that.
‘It is going to be a great atmosphere. I watched the game against the Republic of Ireland the other night and the atmosphere sounded unbelievable. I just can’t wait to get out there and taste it.’
On the win over Slovenia, Welbeck added: ‘It was a good night all round. It is obviously pleasing to get the win in the end.
‘The most important thing was the way the team responded to going a goal down.
‘I think what we can do now obviously is play our game and make sure we are prepared for the next match.
‘I can’t really go back too much to the summer. We can’t change anything from there now, so the most important thing is to prepare well for the next game and obviously try to get the win.’
