England move up to eighth

England have moved up one place to eighth in FIFA's latest world rankings.

The Three Lions have been boosted in the build-up to Wednesday's friendly with Egypt at Wembley after swapping places with Argentina.

Elsewhere, European champions Spain remain at the top of the rankings ahead of Brazil and Netherlands.

Reigning World Cup holders Italy stay fourth but there is a change at fifth and sixth where Germany have edged back ahead of Portugal.

Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland have dropped two places to 39th where they are now just one spot ahead of Northern Ireland.

Scotland have move up one place to 45th but Wales are still languishing down in 76th.
