Bobby Zamora and Rio Ferdinand have received their first England call-ups of 2011 after being named in the squad to face Switzerland.Fulham centre-forward Zamora has made just one appearance for England, coming on as a substitute in the 2-1 friendly victory over Hungary in August 2010.

He was out of action between September 2010 and March 2011 after breaking a leg in a tackle with Wolves' Karl Henry.

Manchester United centre-back Ferdinand has not featured for England since the 2-1 friendly defeat at home to France in November 2010.

After struggling with persistent injuries for much of the season, he lost the England captaincy to former skipper John Terry in March this year.

Ferdinand's United team-mate, striker Wayne Rooney, is suspended for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on June 4.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been included, despite declaring himself unavailable for next month's Under-21 European Championships in Denmark.
