Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed an interest in signing striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, if the Dutchman leaves AC Milan this month.
The 26-year-old is keen to exit the San Siro in search of regular first-team football, with the World Cup finals in South Africa a matter of months away.
Huntelaar's agent, Arnold Oosterveer, stated:"It is right that there are several English clubs interested in the player, but for the respect of the club I don't want to mention any names.
"Klaas-Jan wants to have playing time. He wants to go to the World Cup and wants to be involved."
Toffees boss Moyes added:"I don't talk about players at other clubs, but if Huntelaar was available I would be interested, certainly.
"I think we are lacking firepower at this present time. We're creating plenty of chances, but we're not finishing games off like I think we should be."
