Everton and Stoke City battle for Lazio ace

Cavanda

Premier League duo Everton and Stoke City are leading the race to sign Lazio full back Luis Pedro Cavanda, as reported by Sky Sports News.

The Belgian under-21 international is wanted by numerous clubs across Europe but the players agent has revealed that the Toffees and the Potters are the most serious bidders.

The highly rated defender can play either right back or left back and was wanted by Arsenal in January.

The Angolan-born wing back has impressed for Lazio in Serie A and could be tempted with a big move to England to further his career and join a growing number of impressive Belgian players strutting their stuff in the Premier League including Marouane Fellaini and Kevin Mirallas at Everton.

Cavanda’s agent has confirmed that the two English clubs are extremely serious about signing his client.

“We are looking into several offers but they have to meet the demands of Lazio,” Cavanda’s agent told newspaper La Lazio Siamo Noi.

“The most serious interest? That is Everton and Stoke City.”
