The Toffees moved into fourth place yesterday with a narrow win at Sunderland and are now favourites for the Champions League spot.
Everton have won seven on the bounce now and have impressed under Martinez who has revamped the squad since David Moyes left in the summer.
Martinez knows that fourth spot is not guaranteed yet but is excited by the remaining games of the season where the Toffees face both Manchester United and Manchester City.
“We’ve still got 15 points to fight for and that’s exciting,” he said afterwards.
“Once again our fans were magnificent and we’re looking forward to having two home games with the crowd behind us.”
If Arsenal beat West Ham in midweek they will leapfrog Everton back into fourth spot, although the Toffees play 24 hours later at home to Crystal Palace.
