Everton boss hoping Moyes will be welcomed home

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that the Toffees fans will show their respect to David Moyes who returns to Goodison Park with Manchester United on Sunday, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Moyes built the platform for Everton’s success this season, with Martinez putting the final pieces of the puzzle together and a top four spot is now on the horizon.

The Scotsman has not enjoyed his first year at Old Trafford with his side facing a tough battle to finish in the Europa League spots.

However Martinez believes Moyes will be remembered for his good times at Goodison Park by the loyal Evertonians.

“We are a club full of integrity and style so we will show the right respect to him,” Martinez said.

“I’m sure he will get a good reception. His job as an ex-Everton boss deserves that.

“His work has been terrific and we all know he’s United manager now, so I’m sure his reception will be a little different, but every Evertonian has great memories of what he did.”
