Everton have landed Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse in a £13.5m deal, confirm the club’s official website.
The Senegalese marksman has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal at Goodison Park to add firepower to Roberto Martinez’s side.
Voted the Russian Player of the Year in 2015, the 25-year old old has scored 13 goals and recorded a further 10 assists this season.
Expected to have visa clearance before the weekend’s game with Stoke City, he will be paraded at Goodison on Wednesday at half-time during the clash with Newcastle United.
Though Romelu Lukaku has been in fine form for the club this term, Martinez clearly feels he needs to bring more goals into the side.
Following the departure of Steven Naismith, only Arouna Kone can deputise for the Belgian in a natural sense.
