Everton boss Roberto Martinez is considering a move to sign frustrated Chelsea star Asmir Begovic, according to reports from The Sun.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper is being eyed as a potential replacement to Tim Howard, who is tipped to make a return to the United States and is linked with MLS side Colorado Rapids.
Begovic is unhappy with his very limited role since his £8million arrival from Stoke City in the summer, featuring only once against Scunthorpe in the FA Cup since the appointment of interim boss Guus Hiddink.
Martinez is now said to be ready to hand Begovic a regular role if he accepts a move to Goodison Park, a factor that could persuade the Bosnia international to leave Stamford Bridge.
He had an extended run earlier in the season following a knee injury to Blues first choice star Thibault Courtois, but was immediately benched when the Belgium international returned to full fitness.
The former Stoke City star managed to make 20 appearances in all competitions this term, so far keeping eight clean sheets in the process.
