Everton are monitoring the situation of Mitchell Weiser after they were alerted that he didn’t sign a contract extension with Bayern Munich, Mirror reports.
The 21-year-old is considering the idea of leaving the Bundesliga champions in search of more playing time after finding it hard to retain a regular role under manager Pep Guardiola.
Stoke City are also another Premier League side keeping an eye on the midfielder, who is being linked with an exit when the window reopens at the end of the campaign.
He only made his fifth start at the weekend, where he came on as a substitute to create a goal for Germany international Bastian Schweinsteiger in the 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin.
The win ensured that Bayern were crowned league champions for the third consecutive time, but Weiser is still keen on a departure.
He joined the German giants for £500,000 back in 2012, playing for the youth team before making a breakthrough into the senior squad two years later.
