Everton eager to sign 94-cap former Man United star in shock cut-price transfer

According to reports from The Daily Star, Everton are planning to activate the £6.4million release clause of former Manchester United star Nani.

The 29-year-old winger lifted four Premier League titles and a Champions League title during his eight seasons at Old Trafford, notching up 40 goals and 230 appearances across all competitions.

The Portugal international – who has represented his country on a whopping 94 occasions – currently plies his trade with Fenerbahce, having left United last summer following a season-long loan at Sporting Lisbon.

But according to The Daily Star, who cite reports from TransferMarketWeb, Everton are planning to bring Nani back to the Premier League in a shock summer transfer.

The interest follows this week’s revelation, courtesy of One World Sports, that the 5 foot 9 attacker’s Fenerbache contract includes a £6.4million release clause.

Nani has been in decent form for the Turkish outfit this season, bagging seven goals and five assists in 22 Super Lig appearances.
