Everton have set their sights on Chelsea target Kostas Manolas from Roma as a possible replacement for John Stones, Express reports.
The 24-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target for the Blues in recent weeks as they look to secure a new centre-back in light of John Terry’s expected departure.
Stones has been the subject of four rejected bids from Chelsea throughout the previous summer window, with the Toffees placing a £50million valuation on the defensive star.
Manchester City have also entered the race for the England international as Everton boss Roberto Martinez begins preparations should he depart.
However, the Serie A giants are keen to ensure that Manolas remains at the club heading into the summer and is said to have already begun talks to hand him a new deal.
The Greece international has already featured 37 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score one goal while providing another two assists.
