The 23-year-old only moved to Russia earlier this year from Rennes, but is already thought to be considering a return to one of European football’s top leagues.
M’Vila was heavily linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham prior to his switch last winter, while recent rumours have suggested that he could be in line for a switch to Liverpool – following photographs of him among the Reds fans during the most recent Merseyside derby circulated on the internet.
However, Everton are believed to be leading the race for the Frenchman, with Roberto Martinez thought to be keen to add to his squad next month to build of the Toffees’ excellent start to the season.
The Spaniard currently has Gareth Barry on loan at the club from Manchester City, but with the veteran midfielder now entering the closing stages of his career a decision is yet to be made as to whether or not he will make the switch a permanent one at the end of the current campaign.
At 23, M’Vila is seen as a more viable long-term midfield option, with reports suggesting that he is keen on a transfer to England.
