Everton are ready to double Ronald Koeman’s wages if the Dutchman agrees to leave Southampton for the Merseyside club this summer, according to The Mirror.
The Dutchman has done a sublime job on the south coast and led the Saints to an excellent sixth-placed finish in 2015-16 thanks largely to a strong run of form at the end of the season.
Koeman has excelled in English football since replacing Mauricio Pochettino at the St Mary’s Stadium, with the former Feyenoord boss proving himself as an expert tactician and strong man manager.
The Toffees are on the hunt for a new boss after parting company with Roberto Martinez following an underwhelming campaign for the Goodison Park club that resulted in a mid-table finish.
Koeman is believed to be the Merseysiders’ top choice to replace the Spaniard and they are willing to offer him a bumper salary to leave Southampton and head north this summer.
