Everton pair told to find new homes

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has told Oumar Niasse to leave the club, as quoted by the Daily Star.

Niasse only joined in January, for £13.5million, but has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park, making just 5 league appearances. He’s totalled just 142 Premier League minutes, scoring 0 goals.

And new boss Koeman has told the Senegalese forward that he’s not wanted at the club, and should look for a new team to play for.

The Dutch boss is keen to trim the fat at Everton, and has also told Aiden McGeady to look for a career away from Merseyside, as he too is unwanted goods:

“It will be very difficult for [Niasse and Aiden McGeady] to be part of the team because we have a big squad.” Said Koeman.

Most of the summer has been focused about Everton keeping a forward, with the ongoing saga of who Romelu Lukaku will be playing for come the close of the transfer window.

But Koeman is happy to lose players, and clear wages off the books, by selling the pair to any interested party. Neither were in the squad that drew 1-1 with Spurs last weekend.
