Everton will hold talks with Sevilla manager Unai Emery about the prospect of him taking over from Roberto Martinez ahead of the new season, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Toffees soured on Martinez earlier this month after what was a frustrating campaign in the Premier League, finishing only 11th despite boasting one of the more talented squads in the division.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is thought to have been a major target, though it has recently come apparent the Dutchman will remain on the South Coast for at least another season.
Now, the Merseyside outfit are understood to have approached the Spaniard after he led Los Nervionenses to a third successive Europa League title, ironically at the expense of fierce rivals Liverpool.
Talks are believed to commence within the next 72 hours, after the La Liga side clash with Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final later this afternoon.
While it is unclear whether or not the 44-year old is a top target, Everton will reportedly try and figure out what plans he has to move to England, if any at all.
