Everton star Steven Naismith is on the verge of completing a move to Norwich City, with a medical set to be conducted at the club today, Daily Mail reports.
The 29-year-old struggled to hold down a first-team role under manager Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park and is now edging closer to an exit.
Despite netting a hat-trick against current Premier League champions Chelsea back in September, Naismith has found it very hard to register 90 minutes of football on a regular basis.
He is now close to completing an £8million move to Norwich subject of a medical, as he looks to revive his season after only managing to register four starts for the Toffees this term.
Manager Alex Neil recently praised the Scotland international and will be keen on his signature as he looks to help his side avoid the drop.
“He (Naismith) is a whole-hearted player and so was I. We played each other. He was playing at Rangers (while Neil was playing for Hamilton),” he said.
“He is a good player and would give us energy. One thing I will say, he has goals in him as well. I think he scored a hat-trick against Chelsea earlier in the season – those types of players are hard to come across.”
The Canaries are currently sitting 16th on the league table, four points away from Swansea City in 18th place.
