Everton star Aaron Lennon is targeting a return to the England setup following his permanent move from Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old failed to hold down a regular role at White Hart Lane over the past few seasons and has not featured for his nation since making a substitute appearance back in 2013.
However, after impressing on loan at Everton last term, he now hopes he can play on a weekly basis in order to impress Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.
He completed a switch to Goodison Park on deadline day after being told by manager Mauricio Pochettino that he will not likely feature in his plans for the current campaign.
Lennon was then forced to train with the Under-21 squad and was also not given a proper squad number, eventually pushing him to leave Spurs.
He featured in 14 league matches last season since his arrival from Tottenham in the January window and managed to score a total of two goals.
