Everton star Steven Naismith has turned his attentions to helping his side finish in the top four following a good run of results, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Toffees have now gone unbeaten from their past seven matches in all competitions as they are only two points behind fourth place Crystal Palace.
Despite their recent 1-1 draw in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool at the weekend, Naismith believes they can capitalize on their run of form in order to compete for a Champions League spot.
“The top four has now probably turned into a big six or seven,” he said.
“Spurs are consistently fighting for it, we did it a couple of years ago. We feel we’re good enough to be up at that mark.”
The 29-year-old also managed to net a hat-trick in the 3-1 win over current Premier League champions Chelsea earlier last month.
He also added that he believes his side should have taken all three points against the Reds at the weekend given their ability to dictate the tempo of the match.
Manager Roberto Martinez will now be preparing for two tough games following the international break as his team will face Manchester United at Goodison Park before travelling to the Emirates to play Arsenal.
