Fergie takes charge of Manchester United transfer for Juventus star

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson may have been just an observer for the entire season, but he is believed to be making a return to business by making a shocking £26-million bid for Juventus star Arturo Vidal, Express reports.

News out of Italy claim that the United ambassador negotiated the potential deal with Vidal’s manager Antonio Conte, as the pair were spotted on the stands watching the Europa League final between Sevilla FC and SL Benfica.

Having watched the Red Devil’s recent fall from grace, many supporters think Sir Alex is trying to have another go at getting the club back to it’s former glory.

Since the board have not officially announced the appointment of a new manager, although Holland’s Louis van Gaal looks the likely candidate, the 72-year-old Scot is taking charge by aiming to secure at least one major signing before the summer.

Conte could be willing to sell the Chilean international in order to make room for Turin trio Claudio Marchisio, Paul Pogba, and Andrea Pirlo, while the move could also aid a potential transfer for United exit-bound defender Patrice Evra.
